Metsäbiotalouden näyteikkuna tarkastelee koko metsäbiotaloutta uudella tavalla, valottamalla sen eri puolia. Tarkastelussa ovat muun muassa metsät ja puu suomalaisen teollisuuden ja taloudellisen hyvinvoinnin lähteenä, puun uudet biopohjaiset tuotteet, metsien terveysvaikutukset, metsien monimuotoisuus sekä ilmastonmuutos. Forest Bioeconomy
Biotalous on uusiutuvien luonnonvarojen tuottamista, käyttämistä, kierrättämistä ja jalostamista tuotteiksi. Biotalouteen kuuluu myös uusiutuviin luonnonvaroihin perustuvia palveluja. Metsäbiotalous rajautuu metsiin, puuhun, metsän tuotteisiin ja palveluihin, ja se kattaa yli 50 prosenttia biotaloudesta.

Generational forest with thousand planters
At the Natural Resources Institute Finland's (Luke) Punkaharju research park, a commemorative forest is currently being planted for Finland's centenary. The first seedlings of the "Forest of Generations" were planted on Monday, August 21. The planting work will continue throughout the week.
